Naomi

Hi, I’m Naomi, and I live in the vibrant city of Brisbane, Queensland.

Over the past two decades, I’ve dedicated my life to being a registered nurse, gaining invaluable experience in diverse settings such as public hospitals, private schools, and private GP clinics. Each opportunity has shaped me into a well-rounded healthcare professional.

Coming from a large family myself, I always held a deep desire to create a loving and expansive family of my own. Now, my dream has come true as I proudly embrace a beautiful blended family with eight wonderful children and two adorable fur babies.

Having experienced the joys and challenges of raising a large family, I’ve encountered almost everything parenthood can throw at you. I’ve learned that each child is a unique individual, and there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution with parenting. It’s a journey of discovery, learning, and adaptation.

Drawing on my distinctive blend of personal and professional nursing experience, I’m here to lend you a helping hand. My approach is tailor-made for your family’s needs, using evidence-based solutions from a nursing perspective. Together, we’ll navigate this beautiful chapter of your life, ensuring your child receives the love, care, and support they deserve.

Allow me to be your trusted companion on this remarkable journey of parenthood, ensuring that you have the personalised support and guidance you deserve. Together, we can navigate the intricacies of raising children, creating a harmonious and joyous environment for your family to flourish.

Frequently Asked Questions

Good question!  We are called The Mama Coach because years ago, when Carrie’s first boy was very small, she often wondered out loud to herself, “Where is my Mama Coach?” and “I need a Mama Coach!”.  Carrie searched and searched for qualified support and realised there was a need for qualified support for new families. We recognise that our name can give the impression that we only serve mums, but we will continue to work and learn to ensure our messaging is clear that all people are welcome here. Parents carry a heavy load, and do it with grace.  All parents deserve support, and The Mama Coach is the answer you’ve been searching for.

We do not just support mums — we help ALL people.  All are welcome here, and we are committed to providing you with quality support, no matter your gender or family dynamic.  As we learned in nursing school, your family is who YOU say they are.

We get asked this one all the time.  As Registered Nurses, having merely one method does not align with how we were trained in University to utilise the nursing process.

The Nursing Process is defined as, a “systematic approach to care using the fundamental principles of critical thinking, client-centered approaches to treatment, goal-oriented tasks, evidence-based practice (EDP) recommendations, and nursing intuition.  Holistic and scientific postulates are integrated to provide the basis for compassionate, quality-based care” (*1).

Simply put, we will assess your child using our nursing training to determine the best way to help your family reach their goals, walking beside you all the way.  You can choose us with confidence, knowing you have picked the most qualified resource to support your family’s journey.

Yes.  As Registered Nurses, we have years of training on where to access credible guidelines and information. All of our programming is based on extensive research from credible sources.

As Registered Nurses, it is our professional obligation to manage client records and confidential information properly.  We use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) that is compliant throughout Australia.  Even though we share the same brand, we are all independent Registered Nurses with our own private practices. As such, we each have our own EMR that is private and secure. We do not share EMR or client information between one another without consent.

Often they are — the answer largely depends on where you live, which health provider you are with, and what your private insurance covers.  It is best to enquire with your specific health fund.
